Quite early on a Saturday morning, a group of orienteers gathered on the west Cambridge site. The location had been chosen to discourage them from bringing too much stuff. A few minutes later, two cars appeared. A while later, a sleepy Andrew on a bike appeared. After packing the car, we set off for Leicester for a novelty orienteering race.
The controls had been planned on the Donisthorpe map, which was then swapped out for a Burbage map. However, the race wasn't as difficult as the planner had thought; most of the controls were on paths and it was easy enough to take bearings.
We arrived at the bunkhouse, and after settling in made a big carbonara.
