A group of CUOC members and the club mascot Helen-the-Reindeer went to a race in Epping Forest. There was a small amount of snow on the ground and on the trees - just enough to fall off as you brushed past the vegetation. The forest was quite green in places (holly bushes - keep out) and the course had a long-orange feel in places. Other parts of the forest were white and runnable with interesting contour detail.
We were helping on the road crossing, which was a little bit cold. We did get to see lots of people we knew going round their courses.
